Job Description
Veterinary Technician
Prosper North Animal Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Prosper, Texas. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is passionate about animal care and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with patient examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Provide nursing care to hospitalized and surgical patients
- Perform laboratory testing, sample collection, and basic radiology as directed
- Assist with surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
- Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and support hospital protocols
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment
Qualifications:
- Veterinary Technician experience preferred; licensed or credentialed technicians encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures, animal handling, and safety practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team setting
