Welcome Dr. Furth!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Jenny Furth has joined the Prosper North AMC family! Dr. Furth starts in July, bringing over ten years of experience. She is eager and excited to meet you and your pets.

Dr. Furth obtained her undergraduate education at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2011. After completing a small animal rotating internship at Auburn University in Alabama, Dr. Furth went on to complete a surgical internship at Capital Area Veterinary Specialists in Austin, Texas. She then taught as a clinical associate in small animal surgery at Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After working for 4 years as an emergency doctor at two of Austin’s top specialty hospitals and with the birth of her son, Dr. Furth transitioned to general practice. She relocated to the north DFW area during COVID to be closer to family. 

Dr. Furth’s professional interests include ultrasonography, surgery, emergency medicine, neurology, progressive medicine, and education. She appreciates spending time with her son and husband as well as their two dogs, Tony (a three-legged Pit Bull Terrier with separation anxiety issues) and Gillie (an enthusiastic pogo stick Lab mix). In her spare time, Dr. Furth enjoys reading, crafting, watching movies, building and collecting Legos, dining out, visiting new places, and sampling craft beers.
